Endorsement for scheduled medicines

If you have an international qualification that enables you to prescribe medications, you can apply to have your qualification assessed to see if it meets the requirements for endorsement for scheduled medicines.

The endorsement requirements are explained in the Board’s Registration Standard: Endorsement for scheduled medicines. International applicants can only seek endorsement via Pathway A of the registration standard.

For information about the Board’s requirements for endorsement for scheduled medicines, see the scheduled medicines page.

To meet the requirements for this pathway, you must provide evidence that you have a qualification that the Board considers to be substantially equivalent to, or based on similar competencies to, an approved qualification for endorsement for scheduled medicines.

We will assess your qualification(s) against the assessment criteria below to advise you if you are qualified for general registration.

If we assess that your qualification meets the assessment criteria below, you are qualified for endorsement for scheduled medicines. You must also meet the recency of practice requirement in relation to podiatric prescribing.
