Under the National Law, students enrolled in an approved program of study leading to registration in the podiatry profession must be registered.
If you are enrolled in an approved program of study you do not need to apply for registration as a student. Education providers will pass on your details to the Podiatry Board for registration. No fees are required.
If you are not enrolled in an approved program of study, but you are intending to undertake a clinical placement where you do not hold registration in the profession, the education provider is required to advise AHPRA of students who need to be registered. For further information, refer to the FAQ for Education Providers for Student Registration and the AHPRA website.
The Podiatry Board will register you for the duration of study or clinical training, or until you are no longer enrolled.
