The core role of the National Boards is to protect the public. One of the ways they do this is by making sure that only practitioners who have the skills and qualifications to provide safe care to the Australian community are registered to practise their profession.
Registration standards define the requirements that applicants need to meet to be registered.
The Podiatry Board of Australia has developed codes and guidelines to provide guidance to the profession. These also help to clarify our views and expectations on a range of issues.
The Podiatry Board of Australia considers every application for registration carefully and will assess it against the requirements for registration set by each Board. More information about the registration process can be found on the AHPRA website.
